Bra Care Guide
It’s important to care for your bras correctly. If your bras are washed, dried and stored correctly, they will age better and give you more support. If you follow the directions below, your bras will last longer and look better. You should have a minimum of 3 bras, one to wash, one to wear, one in the drawer. It is recommended to have a cycle of 8 bras to allow for routine of one bra per day and a weekly wash.
NO bra should have an anniversary!
It is important that your old bras are thrown away and replaced with new bras every 6-9 months. This is especially true for everyday bras and full figure bras.
If you have any questions about how to car for your bras, call the boutique and we will give you more advise. My bra experts and I are here to help you any way we can.
Washing your bras
We strongly recommend that you hand wash your bras.
- Fill a basin with cold water
- Used one teaspoon of mild soap in your basin; mix it up
- Soak your bras for 20 – 30 minutes
- Take out pat dry and hang for continued drying process
- Do not put your bras in the washer or dryer.
- You should wash your bras daily or every other day, depending on your bra wearing cycle
Storing Your Molded Cup Bras
- We recommend that you get a couple of hooks and hang them by the strap
- You can also stack them inside one and other keeping them molded
- Never invert the cups (this will cause the cup to break down)
- When travelling you can stuff the cups with socks and panties to keep the shape
How to care for your Breast Prosthesis (Forms)
Amoena and Trulife breast form are incredibly resilient and are designed to stand up to the normal everyday demands placed upon them. If cared for correctly, your breast forms should last you for many years. However, make sure not to puncture your breast forms with sharp objects, such as pins, pet claws, or even your very own fingernail. As repairs are not possible for your products. Use of talcum powder and body lotions on or around your breast forms should also be avoided. To ensure your breast forms remain in good condition, you should wash it every day with soap and water and pat dry with a clean, soft cloth or towel. When not being worn, you should keep your breast forms in the cradle provided, as this will help to maintain its shape.

How to Care for Compression Garments
- Wash your garments daily with a mild laundry soap (machine-gentle cycle or hand wash)
- Do not use any fabric softeners; these will break down the fiber of the garment
- Tumble dry on a low to medium heat; this will recoil the fibers to the garment.
- Typical life cycle of daytime compression is 6 months. We recommend replacing every six months for optimal benefits.
- Nighttime compression garments should be wiped down with a mild soapy towel and air dried daily. Life cycle is typically 2 years.
- Please follow the manufacturer suggested care.
